These Are the Heroes with the Passion to Transform Their Communities

Our Partners

Masaya/ Nicaragua

In Masaya, a local NGO called ADIC (Asociación de Desarrollo Integral y Comunitario) has a range of projects, mainly in the rural areas, some of which LMLG supports.

Leicester City Council / Leicester City Schools

Leicester City Council have a long standing, deeply held connection with Masaya, dating back to the political struggles of the 1980s, where a bond between the two cities was first forged. It is a connection that has continued over many years and ongoing financial and in-kind support for our educational projects and work around sustainable development.

Consortium of Development Education Centres (CoDEC)

A national network of local development education centres (DECs) that support and deliver global learning in schools and communities across England. The LMLG was awarded Development Education Centre status in 2002 and, as a member of CoDEC, has benefited from the network’s teaching resources and support to develop a rich source of materials to support our own sustainable development education and global citizenship work in Leicestershire.

Nicaragua Solidarity Campaign

The Nicaragua Solidarity Campaign is the leading organisation in the UK supporting peace and progress for the people of Nicaragua. We work with Nicaraguan organisations fighting for social, economic and environmental justice, and promote public understanding in the UK of Nicaragua’s battle against poverty.
